Orchard Valley Coffee
As you would expect from a specialty coffee roaster, we only use 100% of the finest grade of Arabica coffee beans from tress that grow at high altitudes in semitropical climates near the equator, both in the western and eastern hemispheres.
Because ripe Arabica cherries (unroasted beans) fall to the ground and spoil, they must be carefully monitored and picked at intervals, which increases production costs.
Great coffee does not always cost a fortune. When searching for gourmet coffee, you will definitely come across specialty Kona blends or rare African coffees, that will undoubtedly cost more than $30 a pound. The main reason for this is that it’s usually from a very small region, and has a very popular name and reputation.
Don’t be afraid to try new coffee! Our exclusive blends have superb flavors at very reasonable rates. Our beans are gently roasted to perfection on site almost daily to assure you the freshest coffee possible! Coffee degrades quickly after it has been roasted. The optimal time to drink coffee is 2-5 days after roasting. However, if coffee is stored right, the flavor will stay relatively pleasant for almost two weeks.
Thus, coffee purchased on a shelf, which has probably been sitting there for weeks already, will usually have a poor flavor. No matter what kind of airtight container the coffee is shipped in, after roasting the coffee’s flavor will degrade within a matter of weeks.
